UK group One Direction attended the 2012 Bambi awards at Stadthalle Düsseldorf in Düsseldorf, Germany on Thursday night (November 22). The guys including Liam Payne, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson were joined by other stars at the event such as Canadian singing diva Celine Dion, Mexican superstar Salma Hayek and Austrian skydiver Felix Baumgartner. The former X Factor candidates looked dapper in co-ordinate grey suits at the 2012 Bambi awards, an annual show presented annually by Hubert Burda Media to honor stars who have "affected and inspired the German public.” Zayn Malik dyed his black hair with a peroxide quiff back to normal for the ceremony and Harry Styles sported a three piece number complete with a white pocket square. Meanwhile, Louis Tomlinson looked handsome and all grown up in a black roll-neck with his tailored grey suit. Apart from hitting the stage to perform their new single “Live While We’re Young,” the heartthrobs of One Direction also picked up the Pop International Accolade award, joining other big winners at the event such as Celine Dion, Salma Hayek, Felix Baumgartner and German rapper Cro.

The British boy band take home the Pop International Accolade award. The English-Irish quintet have also won several prizes such as a Brit Award and multiple MTV Video Music Awards, Teen Choice Awards and MTV Europe Music Awards in 2012.

One Direction has scored number one in the Billboard 200 charts with "Take Me Home" and one of its tracks "Little Things" also took the first place in the singles rankings. The cheeky boys seemed to be extremely happy with their win as they celebrated their win at the BBC radio 1 on November 19, 2012. "We just want to say a massive thanks to all the fans who have supported us," Harry Styles said. "We can send tweets and thank them, but 140 characters is never going be enough to say how much it means."
